For the third consecutive year, Flint Hills Resources’ Pine Bend Refinery received the Wastewater Treatment Operator Award from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The award is given annually to a small group of industrial wastewater plant operators in Minnesota for excellence in producing discharge waters that meet strict permit requirements. Pine Bend has a sustained record of excellent wastewater plant operations, having gone more than seven years without exceeding effluent permit limits.
